Synopsis
The story of ‘The Last Act’ is based on the political realities of revolutions in countries, but it is presented anonymously in terms of geography and individuals by the late French writer, Gilbert Cesbron, in the form of a play called "The Final Curtain." The film portrays a critical writer of the government of his time who is pursued and, in his final meeting with his family, is arrested by government agents. The conversation between the writer and one of the agents leads to an unexpected conclusion.

Director's Biography
Seyyed Shahabedin Hosseini Tonekaboni born on February 3, 1974, is an Iranian actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is known for his collaborations with Iranian Academy Award-winning director Asghar Farhadi in About Elly (2009), A Separation (2011), and The Salesman (2016). His accolades include a Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor, a Silver Bear for Best Actor, and a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor.
